OVERVIEW:
The Remote GR Admissions Counselor I interacts with inquiries with a primary focus on identifying, vetting, and onboarding qualified students. The role requires providing consultation and guidance and the ability to learn and understand how to articulate the University programs' offerings to ensure optimal student program matches. Admissions Counselors play a crucial role as the initial point of contact through the successful transition and starting of new students into their chosen educational programs.

Keiser University is seeking results-oriented, energetic Admissions Counselors who can work in a fast-paced environment and who have effective decision making skills and customer service experience. Admissions Counselors assist prospective students by assessing their skills and interests and guiding them through the enrollment process. This position requires creativity, a high level of interpersonal communication skills, and strong computer and telephone skills.
- Admissions Counselors must have the minimum of a Bachelors degree. Qualified applicants must be flexible and adaptable to changing environments.
- This is a full-time position that may require working some nights and Saturdays.
- Foster a consistent flow of potential inquiries
- Attract, engage, and vet inquiries
- Enroll and start qualified students
- Initiate outbound telephone communications to inquiries
- Conduct basic phone screening interviews to assess interest and facilitate participation in a formal interview
- Conduct remote phone interviews using Keiser University's Confidential Qualifying Questionnaire (CQQ) to determine readiness and identify barriers, resources, and support available
- Provide an overview of the University and appropriate programs for qualified students
- Follow-up with qualified students to ensure a seamless transition to matriculation
- Conduct administrative tasks such as managing students' permanent records, assisting with required forms, and facilitating transcript requests
- Complete student files for transitions to Financial Aid and Academics Departments
- Ensure students' readiness for orientation
- Coordinate with Financial Aid Administrators
- Participate in orientation for all term starts
- Onboard students for all term starts
- Acquire knowledge about Keiser University's latest curriculum and program offerings
- Obtain current information regarding employment trends for program offerings
- Develop a weekly plan for enrollment activity
- Utilize admissions software application to keep notes and maintain records/logs
- Foster a consistent flow of potential inquiries
- Meet student start objectives
