Job Duties
Help create safer workplaces by delivering high-quality occupational safety and health training, consultation, and technical assistance to organizations across North Carolina and the surrounding region. As a member of Industry Extension Services (IES), you will empower employers, employees, and industry partners with the knowledge and resources needed to improve workplace safety while supporting the growth and success of the southeastern OSHA Training Institute Education Center (SEOTI EC).
Key Responsibilities Occupational Safety Training & Instruction- Deliver OSHA Training Institute Education Center courses, including OSHA-authorized trainer courses, update courses, and topic‑specific technical courses in both in‑person and virtual learning environments.
- Ensure all OTIEC courses are delivered in accordance with OSHA Training Institute Education Center requirements, policies, procedures, and established course delivery standards.
- Provide customized occupational safety and health training, workplace safety assessments, and consultation services for manufacturing, construction, government and service industry employers.
- Communicate OSHA regulatory requirements, industry standards, and workplace safety best practices to varied audiences.
- Develop, revise, and maintain instructional materials, presentations, online learning content, and other training resources that support classroom and virtual learning.
- Participate in program planning, customer engagement, outreach activities, conferences, meetings, and special projects that contribute to the growth and revenue generation of Industry Extension Services and the SEOTI Education Center.
