As the CSU Extension Program Coordinator,you’llplay a pivotal role in positive youth development via ENOR environmental discovery camp for 4th-8thgraders, and youth/family environmental programming throughout the year. The Coordinator will supervise the management and delivery of educationalprogramsincluding ENOR, a year-round and part-time camp assistant, a seasonal team of 13 educators and about 4-10teen programvolunteers.

This position offers a balance of collaborative teamwork and independent work, with flexible scheduling options to support work-life balance; evening and weekend hours will be necessary  role also offers the opportunity to spend some time outdoorsandhikingtoensuretrail safety and connection to the curriculum, orvisiting the camp/staff outinthe field. The typical schedule for this position is a 4-day Tuesday-Friday schedule(10 hour days) or 5-day schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with evening and weekend hours as needed; typical schedule may be discussed with supervisor to meet the needs of the position and the professional. Work can be performed in a hybrid format, remote and in-person, with a requirement of at least three in-office days per week at the Jefferson County Extension Office,locatedon the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.

The CSUE Jeffco office is closed on Mondays which offers employees the choice 5-day workweeks with remote work on Monday, or 4-day workweeks. Due to the front-facing nature of this position, the successful candidate shouldanticipatespending a majority of their work week in-person, whether in the office or in the community, especially during busy summer camp monthsand the weeks leading up to it

Hiring Range:$28-$31

USDper hour

Compensation will bedeterminedbased on education,experience and skills.

• Recruit, assign, train, direct and supervise activities of temporary workers and/or volunteers. Assign special projects and job duties. Visit personnel working off site in parks and open space. Evaluate and mentor staff to ensure safe and quality program delivery.
• Use evaluation data from campers and camper families, as well as information from external resources toidentifyissues, needs for improvement, and ensure that the curriculum is up to date,retainsalignment with Jefferson County Public Schools curriculum and safe practices are maintained.
• Monitor compliance with day care licensing requirements and ensure that inconsistencies are addressed.
• Monitor and track program related expenses to ensure they are within theallocatedbudget.
