Job Duties:
The Online and Distance Education (ODE) Program Specialist supports the ODE Administrative Services team and reports to the Director of Online and Distance Education. ODE provides leadership and operational support for NC State’s online and distance education programs, partnering with academic units and campus teams to support program operations, student and faculty services, compliance, and effective program delivery. In this role, you will provide administrative and operational support across admissions and enrollment, student and faculty services, systems and records, communications, website administration, and daily program operations.
You will apply university, state, and distance education policies, resolve issues, maintain accurate information, and collaborate with campus partners to deliver responsive, consistent service.
- Process Non-Degree Studies (NDS) applications in SLATE and complete related registration actions in People Soft (SIS), monitoring workflows, researching issues, and coordinating timely resolutions.
- Serve as a responsive resource for distance education students, faculty, staff, academic departments, colleges, and campus partners, addressing questions and resolving issues through Service Now, email, telephone, and direct consultation.
