* * Position Summary
** The Center for Workforce Development (CWD) is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Instructor to prepare students for the Professional Project Manager (PMP) exam.
CWD non-credit instructors report to the Director of the Community Learning Center. Instructors are responsible for course development, teaching and classroom management. Instructors are expected to assist with marketing their classes, with approval for all marketing from the Community Learning Center Director.
San Juan College may approve remote or hybrid work for adjunct employees within New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Texas (states subject to change at any time). All requests for remote work must be approved in advance by the Dean and Human Resources. Remote work options for locations outside of the United States are not permitted.
Minimum Qualifications
* Certification:
Active PMP certification in good standing.
* Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
* Experience:
3+ years of project management experience and at least 1 year of teaching, corporate training, or public speaking.
* Technical Knowledge:
Deep fluency in the PMBOK Guide (latest edition) and familiarity with project tools like MS Project, Jira, or Trello.
* Access to home internet, a personal computer, and telephone is required.
* Demonstrates skill and willingness to learn and use multiple technology platforms to communicate with students.
* Train the Trainer (TTT):
Instructors must complete and pass the PMI Authorized Training Partner TTT session for the PMP course.
* Official Courseware: ATP instructors are required to use the PMI-developed licensed course content and slides.
* Authorized Badge:
After passing the TTT exam, instructors receive a specific Authorized Training Partner Instructor badge.
