The English Second Language Teacher will deliver engaging, student-centered English lessons to learners of varied ages and proficiency levels in a contract capacity. This hybrid role is based in Bradenton, FL, with some work-from-home flexibility, and includes both online and in-person instruction as needed. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and teaching lessons, assessing learner progress, providing feedback, and adapting materials for citizenship, interview, and business English preparation.

The teacher will tailor instruction to individual goals, maintain accurate records of student performance, and communicate regularly with learners and, when appropriate, their families or sponsors. The role also involves collaborating with the organization to refine curricula, incorporate best practices in ESL teaching, and support a positive learning experience for all students.

• Strong English Teaching and Teaching English as a Foreign Language skills, with the ability to instruct diverse learners clearly and effectively.
• Experience in Lesson Planning and curriculum design, creating structured and goal-based learning activities.
• Knowledge of IELTS and related English proficiency exams, with the ability to prepare learners for standardized assessments.
• Solid Teaching skills, including classroom management (online and in-person), learner assessment, and differentiated instruction.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent teaching experience.
• Relevant ESL/TEFL/TESOL certification preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
• Comfort with educational technology and online teaching platforms, and reliable internet access for hybrid work.
• Ability to work independently, manage schedules, and uphold professional conduct in a contract-based environment.
