Pay Range

Pay Range $62,400 - $69,000

Pay rates at Syracuse University are based on a combination of factors including, but not limited to, the job responsibilities; the candidate’s education, training, work experience and key competencies; the university’s strategic priorities; internal peer equity; applicable federal, state, local laws, grant funding and contractual requisites; and external market analyses.

Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Academic Operations, this position supports the needs related to iSchool academic programs, curriculum, scheduling, and assessment and accreditation initiatives. Primary responsibilities include course scheduling support, coordinating assessment and accreditation activities, managing internal course feedback and evaluation processes, coordinating syllabi review and maintenance, supporting data collection and, report preparation, and providing support to the Academic Affairs team and program leadership.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree. Experience working in a higher education setting is preferred, in field of curriculum or academic affairs
Skills and Knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to take direction well, be flexible, and anticipate and self‑direct projects as needed
Responsibilities Course Scheduling Support
  • Collaborate and meet regularly with the Director of Academic Operations to update course schedules for all academic terms and programs, including classes, times, and spaces; ensure all curriculum changes are reflected in draft schedules; and regularly discuss schedule needs and requests
  • Update all course scheduling each semester prior to registration
  • Communicate day, time, and room assignments with instructors and staff during each course scheduling cycle, and provide timely submissions of scheduling changes and requests with the Registrar
  • Oversee classroom space management and ensure proper updates to classroom Outlook calendars in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to facilitate the planning and scheduling of classes and class‑related events
  • Manage, disseminate, and record results of full‑time and part‑time instructors’ teaching preference surveys
  • Coordinate the final exam schedule for all iSchool campus classes each semester, distributing information to instructors and submitting timely requests with the Registrar
  • Maintain spreadsheets that track historical class enrollment/offering data
  • Maintain Schedule of Classes reports with enrollment data in shared space for program leadership and other relevant stakeholders
  • Provide relevant stakeholders with data reports on a regular basis
