About the Role
Our client is seeking a creative and experienced Language Arts Curriculum Developer to design and refine educational materials for their language arts programs in Paarl . This role requires a deep understanding of literacy development, pedagogical best practices, and curriculum design principles. You will be responsible for creating engaging, effective, and standards-aligned lesson plans, activities, and assessments that foster strong reading, writing, and communication skills in students.
This position is crucial for ensuring the quality and impact of the language arts education provided.
- Develop comprehensive curriculum frameworks and detailed lesson plans for Language Arts across various grade levels.
- Create engaging and effective instructional materials, including student activities, worksheets, and assessment tools.
- Ensure all curriculum content aligns with national and provincial educational standards and learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with educators and subject matter experts to review and revise existing curriculum materials.
- Research and integrate innovative teaching methodologies and educational technologies into curriculum design.
- Conduct pilot testing of new curriculum modules and gather feedback for iterative improvement.
- Master's degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in curriculum development, specifically within Language Arts or English education.
- Strong knowledge of literacy development, grammar, literature, and composition instruction.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with educational standards and assessment design principles.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong project management skills.
