Time Commitment: Up to 3 hours per week

Position SummarySwartz Creek Community Schools is seeking qualified educators to serve as Teachers of Record for students in grades 6–12 enrolled through the Swartz Creek Virtual Learning Center.
Teachers of Record will provide academic oversight for students completing online coursework. This position is primarily focused on maintaining accurate student records, reviewing and grading student work, providing appropriate feedback and corrections, and ensuring grades and course information are current and accurately documented.
Subject Areas NeededWe are seeking appropriately certified teachers in one or more of the following areas:
- Mathematics – Grades 6–12
- Visual, Performing, and Applied Arts
- Social Studies – Grades 6–12 - Government/Economics (RX endorsement preferred)
- Health and Physical Education
The Teacher of Record will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and grading student assignments in a timely manner.
- Providing appropriate feedback and corrections on student work.
- Entering and maintaining accurate student grades.
- Maintaining required student records and course information.
- Accurately documenting and logging time and work completed.
- Monitoring student progress within assigned online courses.
- Ensuring grading practices are consistent with course and district expectations.
- Communicating concerns regarding student progress, completion, or academic performance when necessary.
- Maintaining confidentiality and accurate documentation of student information.
- Completing other course-related responsibilities necessary to maintain accurate academic records.
- Hold a valid Michigan teaching certificate with the appropriate endorsement(s) for the assigned subject area.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Be comfortable working within online learning and grading platforms.
- Maintain accurate and timely student records.
- Demonstrate effective written communication skills.
- Be dependable and able to complete assigned responsibilities within established timelines.

This is a supplemental online position requiring up to three (3) hours per week, depending on course enrollment and assigned responsibilities.
