POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is open to remote work throughout Idaho and requires occasional statewide travel.

Opportunities for Hybrid work are available for candidates in the greater Boise area.

The Idaho Out-of-School Network (ION) TMC Lab Project Manager will provide coordination of the TMC Labs Statewide and develop the systems, partnerships and materials to support the vision, mission and long-term goals of the Idaho Out-of-School Network as follows:

ION’s mission is to build, advocate for and lead a strong out-of-school community. ION provides tools and resources to increase access to quality youth programs.

ION’s vision is that every Idaho child has an opportunity to learn and thrive through participating in a high quality out-of-school program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Think Make Create (TMC) Lab specific duties 40%

Mange the four pillars of the TMC labs project for ION: TMC Labs (trailers and unhitched locations), curriculum, educator training, and workforce development
Establish and nurture relationships with TMC Lab hosts including contracts, providing program support and collecting program data
Monitor and manage the fleet of 28 mobile makerspace and 3 Unhitched TMC Labs including maintenance, titling and transfer of ownership where appropriate
Oversee TMC Lab usage, rehost and restock labs as needed
Develop and implement educator training for TMC users statewide and ensure TMC Lab hosts meet minimum training requirements
Create mini trainings with the OST Specialists and incorporate the Idaho Building Blocks for Out-of-School Time Quality in TMC training
Maintain TMC Labs website, respond to public inquiries, and recruit people to use TMC resources to expand access and broaden interest in STEM education across Idaho
Maintain TMC Labs curriculum (activity guides and kits), aligned with Idaho State content standards
Develop, implement and oversee TMC Works program
Monitor participation and activities of pre-apprentices in TMC Works programs
Strategize TMC Lab’s contribution to Idaho’s workforce development through the TMC Works

Administrative/other duties 15%

Track and forecast monthly budgets for TMC labs
Evaluate programs and analyze data for reports, fundraising and outreach
Manage work and supervision of interns and contractors to support the goals of TMC Labs
Collaboratively create systems and ensure compliance with grants and funder’s guidelines
Coordinate evaluation of TMC sites with the Idaho STEM Ecosystem

Other duties and responsibilities: 10%

Function as part of the ION team
Remain current with network policies and procedure
Attend and participate in ION staff and meeting
Represent ION at statewide STEM or educational events
Attendance at ION’s core events required;
Power Up Summit and Regional Trainings, Power of Your Voice. Some travel for TMC training is also required as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS:

Demonstrated effective facilitation skills with diverse groups
Strong communication skills including written, verbal (including public speaking) and listening skills
Demonstrated effective relationship-building skills
Experience with at least some of these administrative tools:
Word Press, Mailchimp, Smartsheets, Excel, Zoom and Google drive
Ability to drive ION’s tow-vehicle, hook-up and haul 14-foot trailers (or willingness to learn)
Ability to coordinate logistics with Lab hosts operating TMC Labs across the state
Willingness to travel within the state of Idaho as well as occasional out of state travel
