Adjuncts are essential to Liberty University’s mission of Training Champions for Christ. Christian worldview. Adjuncts should view their teaching,engagement with students, and scholarship as a means to asignificant educational end. They should strive to employ avariety of techniques for the development of good learning conditions, view each student as a unique individual, and insofaras it is possible, provide for individual differences,abilities, and interests.
Teaching online undergraduate and graduate Studio and Digital Artsclasses in Graphic Design, Animation, Design Foundations, Typography, Web and UX/UI design.
Demonstrated proficiency in teaching industry-standard Adobe Creative Suite software, including
Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, is preferred.
- Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students within the online
Graphic Design curriculum. - Managing and supporting developed lectures, discussions, andcourse assignments with current industry standard practices.
- Providing regular and timely feedback to students to improve their thinking and execution as well as to supervisors to promote student success.
- Evaluate student work and provide detailed critiques and submitgrades in a timely manner.
- Stay current with industry trends, software, and technologies.
- Other duties as assigned.
An MA in Graphic Design, Animation, 2D Design and a strong recordof professional achievement. The applicant should be a practicingdesigner with industry experience in a variety of levels of thefields of graphic design, animation, or studio art. Skills may include print and new media design, Animation software, Proficiency in current design and web development softwares. Preferred QualificationsAn MFA with three years or more of full-time online teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels, or equivalent,and a strong record of professional achievement. For animationinstructors, a minimum of 18 graduate hours in 2D and/or 3DAnimation coursework, knowledgeable in animation/3D modelingsoftware, with 4-5 years of animation experience, strong general knowledge of modeling, rigging, texturing, lighting and animating.
Knowledge of the design process and storyboarding. Additional experience with online course development and instruction. Faculty members are expected to maintain professional and creative development. A link to your portfolio should be included on your resume/curriculum vitae.
- History of Publication in academic or trade journals.
