McGraw Hill is seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Curriculum Specialist to join our California team. The ideal candidate is an experienced educator with a strong understanding of K-12 instruction, the needs of teachers and students, and the instructional priorities shaping today’s classrooms.
Curriculum Specialists leverage their educational expertise to become highly knowledgeable and compelling presenters of McGraw Hill programs and resources. They work closely with sales teams, district leaders, administrators, and teachers to support curriculum reviews, sales presentations, pilots, and implementation.
In this role, you will help educators understand not only what our programs offer, but how they can support high-quality instruction, address district priorities, and improve outcomes for students. You will facilitate engaging presentations and professional learning experiences, respond thoughtfully to educator questions, and adapt your approach to meet the needs of diverse audiences and school communities.
Successful Curriculum Specialists are strong communicators and trusted instructional thought partners. They are able to connect innovative educational resources to authentic classroom needs and communicate their value with credibility, clarity, and enthusiasm.
This is a California/Pacific Region remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. Candidates are required to travel about 80% of the time within the assigned territory. Candidates must reside in California or a bordering state and be within 1 hour of a major airport. Additionally, this position requires traveling by car. We require candidates to have a valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a car in their designated territory.
Whatyou will be doing:
- Fostering relationships and leveraging knowledge to increase sales.
- Delivering winning sales presentations and supportive pre-and-post sales work, including but not limited to strategy development, training, etc.
- Demonstrating a thorough understanding of products sold and supported related to the educational landscape and territory revenue goal.
- Working successfully and collaboratively with sales team members as well in a self-directed/independent manner.
- Remaining current in educational trends, priorities, initiatives, and pedagogical knowledge.
- B.A or B.S degree, M.A. or higher desired.
- 3+ years of successful teaching experience. Educational leadership at the school, district, and/or state level is desirable.
- Expertise and knowledge of elementary and/or secondary ELA, Math, Science and/or Humanities trends and pedagogy.
- Previous experience successfully selling and supporting curriculum implementation in the educational sales landscape is desired.
