About the RoleJoyce University is seeking a passionate and student-centered Pathophysiology and Pharmacology Adjunct Faculty to join our General Education team in a fully remote teaching environment.
In this role, you will teach Pathophysiology and Pharmacology courses on a term-to-term basis while helping students build the foundational knowledge they need to succeed in nursing. You’ll engage, support, and challenge students through meaningful online instruction that connects scientific and pharmacological concepts to their future roles as healthcare professionals.

What You'll Do Create an Engaging, Student-Centered Learning Experience- Foster an inclusive, respectful, and supportive online learning environment.
- Interact with students fairly, professionally, and compassionately.
- Support and assess student academic achievement and growth.
- Encourage curiosity, analytical thinking, participation, and meaningful discussion.
- Help students connect pathophysiology and pharmacology concepts to their future healthcare careers.
- Motivate students to advance their education and achieve their academic goals.
- Provide encouragement and proactive support to students who may be struggling or disengaged.
- Teach assigned Pathophysiology and Pharmacology asynchronous courses in alignment with course objectives and university standards.
- Ensure courses are accurate, organized, and fully prepared before student engagement begins.
- Present complex scientific and pharmacological concepts in ways that are engaging, accessible, and relevant to students.
- Utilize effective instructional strategies and learning technologies to support student learning.
- Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours.
- Grade assignments within 72 hours of submission.
- Maintain an active faculty presence through announcements, discussion participation, and weekly course engagement.
- Hold at least one hour of virtual office hours each week.
- Record and share weekly course overview videos to provide context, reinforce key concepts, and support student success.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback that helps students understand their progress and areas for growth.
- Adhere to university policies, academic standards, course requirements, and faculty expectations.
- Accurately maintain grades, attendance, and student records.
- Communicate proactively with Student Services and academic leadership regarding student concerns or course-related issues.
- Participate in faculty meetings, department activities, and university events as needed.
- Collaborate with faculty and colleagues across the university to support student outcomes and academic excellence.
