Part-Time Instructor | Accounting and Finance

Position Overview:

The Department of Accounting and Finance invites applications forPart-Time Instructors to teach accounting courses. Assignments may include undergraduate and graduate courses and will be based on the applicant’s educational background, professional experience, andareas of expertise. Courses are taught face-to-face.

The Department of Accounting and Finance provides a high-qualityaccounting and finance education that integrates technical skills with the development of personal attributes necessary for the continued growth and success of our graduates. We help our students build competence in technical accounting knowledge, communication,and critical thinking, as well as analytical, interpersonal, and technological skills. We offer competitive academic scholarships toassist students desiring to enter the program.

A Ph.D. in accounting is preferred. Applicants who are ABD or holda master’s degree in accounting or a closely related field willalso be considered. Prior teaching experience and relevant professional experience are valued.

Candidates should have at least 1-3 years teaching experience atthe University or Community College level, and 2-3 years of industry experience.

This position may be eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, consistent with university and state policies. N.C.A&T employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina, within a 2-hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
