About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Online Mathematics Tutor to provide personalized support to secondary school students from George and surrounding areas. This remote position focuses on helping students understand complex mathematical concepts, improve their grades, and build confidence in their abilities. You will conduct one-on-one and small group sessions via a virtual learning platform, tailoring your teaching methods to individual learning styles.
This is a fully remote role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to impact students' academic journeys positively from the comfort of your home, working with a global reach facilitated by digital tools.
- Conduct engaging and effective online tutoring sessions in Mathematics for secondary school curricula (e.g., Algebra, Geometry, Calculus).
- Assess students' understanding and identify specific areas where they require additional support.
- Develop customized lesson plans and practice exercises to address individual student needs.
- Provide clear explanations, feedback, and encouragement to promote learning and mastery.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with students and parents regarding performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching or tutoring Mathematics, preferably at the secondary level.
- Strong understanding of the secondary school Mathematics syllabus and common learning challenges.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Reliable internet connection and proficiency with online collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, online whiteboards).
