Virtual Science Lab Instructor

Our client, an innovative online educational platform, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Virtual Science Lab Instructor to join their expanding team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to guide students through engaging and interactive science experiments using virtual laboratory simulations. You will be responsible for facilitating online lab sessions, explaining scientific principles, and ensuring students grasp complex concepts in a digital environment.

This role is critical in providing high-quality, accessible science education to learners across various levels, making it an exciting opportunity to shape the future of remote STEM learning. You will primarily focus on supporting students in the Upington region and surrounding areas, but will deliver instruction digitally.

• Conduct live virtual science lab sessions for students, demonstrating experiments and concepts.
• Guide students through the use of virtual laboratory software and tools.
• Explain scientific theories and principles relevant to each experiment.
• Facilitate student understanding through interactive questioning and discussions.
• Assess student comprehension through virtual lab reports, quizzes, and participation.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their lab performance.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to the virtual lab platform.
• Collaborate with curriculum developers to enhance virtual lab content and modules.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and session attendance.

• A Bachelor's degree in a Science field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or Science Education.
• Previous experience in teaching or instructing science, preferably with a focus on practical labs.
• Proficiency in using virtual lab software and online teaching platforms.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging online audiences.
• Ability to explain complex scientific concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• A passion for science education and making learning accessible and exciting.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
