Your Opportunity
This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Steam Generator Outage Manager in Lynchburg, VA (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Steam Generator Services Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit.
This role requires unescorted nuclear access and includes a background check, psychological exam, and drug screen. You could have interactions with top level Framatome executives and customers and must have the ability to accurately present the relative challenges and successes of the project. These tasks will require work around radioactive equipment inside a containment building where the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) will be utilized.
This position is responsible for d irecting onsite leadership and technicians which could include:
- Performing or overseeing on the job training
- Conducting site expectation briefs
- Defining task requirements
- Performance management and coaching
- Documenting performance
- Managing conflicts between coworkers
- Ensuring safety and compliance of individuals and plant equipment.
Your work will include:
- Responsible for overall success and performance of a highly demanding project which at times will require efficient redirecting of planned activities.
- Plans work schedules to accomplish required work and, when required, assign priorities.
- Maintains documentation to meet contractual obligations and any deviations.
- Interacts with customer regarding schedule and performance.
- Confirm procedures, problem reports, job hazard analyses, and field schedules.
- Participates in planning and executing projects and will be responsible for pre-outage preparations to include extensive site schedule reviews and adjustments.
- Complies with all applicable safety and health rules including personal dose compliance.
- Responsible for the safety and well-being of personnel supervising.
This position requires up to 75% travel throughout the majority of the year and could include international travel as well. Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.
