TheRight Candidate Will
- Lead project teams in structural engineering tasks such as calculations (hand and software-based), analyses, and report preparation.
- Develop drawings and specifications in coordination with other disciplines from concept to construction documents.
- Lead and mentor junior staff in person and remotely across our five offices.
- Support business development by contributing to proposals, estimating, and interviews with potential clients.
- Support construction administration with RFI responses, submittal reviews and site visits.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible design experience with an emphasis on steel and concrete new and existing structures. Experience with CMU, cold formed steel, and wood is also beneficial as Wiley|Wilson has a wide variety of project types.
- Strong understanding of International Building Code, Whole Building Design Guide, ASCE 7 requirements for environmental loading and other material specific design reference materials.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering (Structural concentration) or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) at job location or able to obtain reciprocity within 3 months.
Wiley|Wilson desires a candidate with federal and industrial project experience with familiarity in both Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build procurement structures. Experience in blast design is beneficial. Advanced degree in Structural or Architectural Engineering is a plus.
