Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Substation Senior Project Manager with deep expertise in substation engineering and utility project management. The ideal candidate will have over a decade of experience in substation design and delivery, hold a PMP certification, and demonstrate strong leadership in project execution, client communication, and risk management.

This role offers remote flexibility and the opportunity to lead high-impact energy projects nationwide.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the execution of substation projects, including schedule, budget, and resource planning
• Serve as the client-facing lead to resolve technical and project-related issues
• Conduct QA reviews, enforce engineering standards, and ensure compliance with utility requirements
• Support business development, proposal preparation, and change order negotiation
• Mentor junior engineers and guide cross-disciplinary project teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
• 12+ years of experience in substation design and project management
• 2+ years in a project engineer or lead engineering role
• PMP certification required
• Proficiency in MS Project, Office, and familiarity with CAD standards
• Strong communication and team leadership skills

Location:
Remote with occasional travel; candidates near Chicago or Lisle, IL preferred
