Geological Data Analyst

About The Position

The Geological Data Analyst is a key stakeholder in the geological data pipeline at the Stibnite Gold Project (SGP). This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and usability of geological data, which is a critical component of technical services and data management. The successful candidate will serve as the primary user and administrator of the geological data management system (GDMS) and collaborate closely with geology, engineering, and technical teams to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Function as the primary user of the geologic database management system (GDMS), ensuring accurate and up to date information is stored as a single source of truth.
• Perform data validation, QA/QC, and reconciliation to ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with geology and engineering teams to define business rules, coding systems, and workflows within the GDMS.
• Configure and maintain import/export processes, validation routines, and data templates.
• Develop standard reports, dashboards, and data extracts to support operational and management requirements.
• Monitor and maintain data integrity, troubleshoot discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
• Support user training, documentation, and adoption of GDMS processes.
• Provide ongoing analytical support, identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Schedule & Logistics

The Geological Data Analyst may be based at one of Perpetua’s offices in Boise or Donnelly, Idaho. However, this position has flexibility to locate where the work needs to be performed, i.e., Donnelly, Boise, or remote work may be applicable for the correct individual. The employee is required to provide his/her own transportation to the assigned office. Travel will be required to Stibnite, Donnelly, Boise and contractor offices as related to job needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Geology, Geoscience, Business Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in data analysis, database management, or geological data handling (mining or exploration industry experience preferred).
• Prior experience with ac Quire GIM Suite, Seequent MX Deposit, HxGn Mine Plan Drillhole Manager, or similar geological data management platforms strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Python, R, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, R).
• Strong understanding of geological and drilling data types (assays, lithology, geotechnical, survey, sampling intervals/points).
• Demonstrated ability to perform data cleansing, transformation, and QA/QC.
• Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• The work location will be in either the Boise or Donnelly offices, with work remote possible after 90 days with the manager’s approval.
