YOUR ROLEAs a Power Electrical Engineer
, you will play a key role in providing meaningful insights and delivering high‑quality monitoring solutions for critical offshore and onshore infrastructure. You will work within the integrated “Delivery and Solutions” team of Marlinks & Fluves with a primary focus on the Marlinks product range for monitoring subsea & land power cables.
- Interpret and translate anomalies, sensor alerts, and monitoring metrics into actionable recommendations for cable operators and owners.
- Combine as‑built documentation, customer feedback and data for diagnostic purposes.
- Serve as the expert and go‑to person for questions related to electrical systems and power cables.
- Master the internal monitoring and data science tooling and/or collaborate with data analysts/scientists to make essential visuals to support recommendations.
- Present and report results and findings to the customer and internally.
- Act as a technical contact for clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and strong technical interface management.
- Take ownership over the monitoring solution and engineer the service to the customer needs and environment (utility, industrial site, offshore, …) by:
- Engineer and tailor the design of the monitoring solution for integration at the customer site, clarifying all technical interfaces (electric, optical, network) and identifying non‑standardised product needs.
- Procure hardware and perform quality checks such as Factory/Site Acceptance Tests.
- Prepare, plan and optionally set‑up the installation and commissioning of the monitoring solution.
- Provide technical professional services to customers beyond our standard product/service offering.
- Deliver projects and services efficiently with customer satisfaction.
- Continuously enhance internal project execution processes and workflows.
- Have a cross‑functional mindset and collaborate with
- the development team and product strategy to convey customer needs and contribute to product improvements.
- the sales team by sharing customer feedback and providing technical pre‑sales support.
- colleagues in the project delivery team, supporting them in project delivery, also for adjacent product lines such as (onshore) water and industrial pipeline monitoring.
You are someone who brings technical curiosity, practical experience, and a strong sense of ownership. You:
- Master or PhD degree in Electric Power Engineering, or have gained equivalent electric knowledge through experience.
- Are an early‑career and experienced professional (1–10 years’ experience).
- Are proactive, analytical, and energized by solving complex technical challenges.
- Enjoy driving operational excellence by improving processes.
- Have strong communication, writing and presentation skills.
- Work at the office multiple days per week.
- Are willing to travel (~10%).
The following are a plus:
- Experience with optical, electrical, and/or IT network installations.
- Programming and data analysis experience (e.g. Python, Jupyter Notebooks).
- Fluent in Dutch and any additional languages are an asset.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
