Job title: GSW - PSA Engineer SCADA
Job DescriptionResponsible for advanced Power Systems Application software development and successful delivery of assigned functions to meet corporate project/product commitments. The responsibilities include: working with Electric Utilities or ISOs (Independent System Operators) and Transmission System Operators (TSOs) on functional software specifications, designing, coding, testing, integration, application tuning and delivery.
Desirable Skills / Must Have Technical/Functional Skills- Proficient in Electric Transmission EMS / SCADA /Implementation
- Preferable hands‑on experience of implementing Client Reliance (XA21) EMS/SCADA or any equivalent SCADA from Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider, etc.
- Good knowledge of Electric SCADA applications/Power DMS/TMS
- Experience doing data modelling.
- 5+ years of work experience in customizing and delivering Network or Transmission Application preferably Reliance.
- 5 years of experience with LINUX and Windows Operating Systems.
- 5 years of experience with C, Java & Oracle Database, SQL, shell scripting, ability to read and interpret logs & debug files.
- Installation of Operating system patches and other 3rd Party Software such as Oracle, Net App, etc.
- System configuration and Hands‑on Experience in Git Hub and Clear Case.
- 5 years experience on Realtime or Mission Critical Systems.
- Must have experience in picking up and installing fixes on live customer systems.
- Proven track record of problem analysis, identification and resolution.
- Strong troubleshooting & debugging skills.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- MS office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and MS Outlook competency.
- Reliance (Formerly known as XA/21) experience.
- Object‑Oriented programming techniques, Oracle, and/or system administration, is a plus.
- Reliance grid apps domain.
- Database SQL/PLSQL.
- Test Management / Exposure to automated testing.
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

PSA Engineer - SCADA (Real‑Time Systems)Purpose: Implement and maintain real‑time SCADA infrastructure integrated with Client ADMS / EMS.
Core Responsibilities- Commission and configure SCADA servers, historian, and comm front ends.
- Integrate RTUs, IEDs, PMUs using IEC 60870‑5‑101/104, DNP3, ICCP TASE.
2 protocols. - Design and validate point databases, RTU maps, control points, analog scaling, alarm thresholds.
- Coordinate with field engineers for RTU testing and FAT/SAT.
- Implement redundancy, fail‑over, and disaster‑recovery schemes.
- Monitor system performance and latency, apply OS/patch management.
- Support cybersecurity hardening (firewalls, certificate management, NERC CIP baseline).
- Client SCADA / Proficy Historian / Grid OS RT.
- Communication protocols (IEC 101/104, DNP3, ICCP).
- Networking & cybersecurity (VPN, firewalls, TLS, PKI).
- Scripting:
Python / Shell for automation. - Real‑time OS / server tuning (Windows Server 2019, RHEL
8). - Hands‑on with SEL RTAC, Siemens SICAM, ABB RTUs preferred.
- 5-10 yrs SCADA integration / commissioning.
- Electrical / Instrumentation background.
- Client Digital EMS / ADMS certification desirable.
- Familiarity with Client GridOS, ADMS, DERMS, EMS, Small world lifecycle and Dev Ops tools.
- Knowledge of CIM standards, IEC 61850, IEC 61970/61968.
- Hands‑on with JIRA, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, Service Now.
- Strong documentation and communication for customer interaction.
- Understanding of utility domain, OT/IT integration, cybersecurity, and change control.
- Agile / Dev Ops project delivery experience preferred.
