Woolpert is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position would be aligned with one of our offices in the US and would support full-time in-person, hybrid, or remote working arrangements.

This position is responsible for leading engineering projects, supporting strategic and KPI goals, contributing to proposals, overseeing project scope, schedule, and fee, and ensuring effective resources are assigned to projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This role includes performing electrical engineering technical work on complex projects, mentoring staff, applying proficiency in designing, analyzing, and reviewing buildings electrical systems to ensure safety, sustainability, and compliance with industry standards.

As a Senior Engineer at Woolpert, you will:

• Lead electrical engineering technical work for complex projects.
• Track project progress, including scope, schedule, and fee.
• Oversee technical review and provide high quality deliverables.
• Guide the team in models, plans, details, and drawings of electrical engineering systems and components according to established standards and modeling techniques.
• Guide electrical design for systems including medium-voltage distribution, microgrids, photovoltaic, battery systems, building power systems, lighting design, and low voltage systems.
• Guide electrical calculations including SKM analysis, arc flash, and photometric calculations (AGI or Elumtools preferred).
• Support career development and technical skill advancement of team members.

• BA/BS or MA/MS in related field and fifteen (15) years related experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) certification required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience leading engineering projects.
• Experience in building power systems, lighting design, medium-voltage distribution, SKM analysis, and photometric calculations (AGI or Elumtools preferred).
• Experience with building electrical system design for commercial, mixed-use, aviation, hospitality, and/or high-rise preferred.
