Overview
KPFF Consulting Engineers is an engineering design firm with over 60 years of experience in innovative, sustainable engineering for the built environment. Our decentralized structure supports offices nationwide and collaborative project work across planning, design, permitting, and construction. We are seeking full-time structural engineering professionals for our Greater Los Angeles Structural office who are motivated to develop design and project management skills and contribute to a variety of public and private infrastructure projects, including bridges and waterfront infrastructure on the West Coast.
Our engineers work in a team structure with opportunities for professional growth, learning, and teaching. Individual accomplishments and successful projects are recognized as part of your career progression. This is an exempt position with overtime paid at an hourly rate.
Responsibilities- Work on structural design for infrastructure projects (bridges, waterfront infrastructure, and other horizontal construction) from planning through construction.
- Collaborate with team members across interns to Principals and participate in cross-functional activities, social events, and educational/training programs.
- Engage with clients and project teams to deliver quality designs and meet project goals.
- Contribute to project management tasks as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- 7 paid holidays and 2 floating holidays per year

- Paid Family Leave: 60% of base salary for up to 6 weeks in a rolling 12-month period
- 40-hour work schedule, Monday through Friday
- Flexible scheduling with core collaboration hours 9:30–3:30 PM

- B.S. in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis)
- M.S. in Civil Engineering preferred (structural emphasis)
- EIT required
- Concrete, steel, and timber coursework or design experience
- Pre-stressed concrete and seismic coursework or design experience
- Familiarity with nonlinear analysis
- Ability to work dynamically with clients and project team members
