Rincon Research Corporation seeks a Sr. DSP/Communications Engineer to create cutting edge solutions to challenging national security and defense signal processing, geolocation, and communication problems. • Lead the design and implementation of digital signal processing systems for communication signals, radar signals, and other applications.
• Develop, deploy, maintain, and test software-based solutions; participate in algorithm design, data analysis, hardware control, computational optimization, RF system modeling, field testing, error budget analysis, and operational performance analysis.
• Write efficient software and provide applications to front-line customer facilities; test with real data.
• Stay up-to-date with signal processing technologies, tools, and methodologies and experiment with new technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into RRC projects.
• Work across all functional areas: systems engineering, development, integration and test, deployment and O&M, with direct mission feedback from customers.
• Propose improvements to applications and frameworks you’re working in and operate with minimal supervision and strong self-starting capability.

• Degree (Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or other equivalent field
• At least 15 years' experience in a signal processing engineering-related discipline
• Subject matter expert in DSP, including deep knowledge of DSP theory and a track record of successful system development
• Experience as a project technical lead and/or principal investigator
• Experience mentoring other engineers and providing technical advice to program management
• Proficient in C++ and/or Python in LINUX environments
• Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
• US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

• Cellular communications, satellite communications, modern modulation schemes, cyclostationary techniques
• Geolocation, radar signal processing, RF propagation and link budgets, RF system design
• Dev Ops and Cloud computing Experience (Gitlab, CI/CD, CVE mitigations, Docker, Kubernetes, PIP)
• Experience as technical lead on proposal efforts
• Current TS/SCI clearance

This position is located in our Tucson, AZ, Centennial, CO, Chantilly, VA, or Colorado Spring, CO office. Remote work/telework is not available for this position.

The likely salary range for this position is $200,000 to $275,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
