Overview

Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as an IT Infrastructure Engineer (Level III/IV). This hybrid position will be located in Rolla, MO, with the opportunity for remote work for the right candidate. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor an employment visa for this position.

Summary

IT Infrastructure Engineers aid in the design, installation, monitoring, security, support, and maintenance of the company’s infrastructure services and End Points. This includes both on-premises and cloud environments and covers all aspects of foundational IT services: computers, servers, storage, backups, networks, and security, utilizing both real and virtual servers, storage, and network resources.

Responsibilities IT Infrastructure Engineer III
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert providing guidance to lower-level engineers.
  • Analyze trends in help desk tickets to identify recurring issues and implement preventative measures.
  • Lead initiatives to improve end-user experience and streamline support processes.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Lead the implementation of advanced security solutions.
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans for end-point and infrastructure incidents.
  • Collaborate with security analysts to analyze and respond to threats and implement and enforce security policies.
  • Conduct regular security assessments on IT assets.
  • Contribute to the development of security policies and standards.
  • Lead the planning and execution of infrastructure projects, including migrations and system upgrades.
  • Design and implement automation solutions for tasks and workflows.
  • Analyze and optimize the performance of infrastructure components.
IT Infrastructure Engineer IV
  • Same duties as IT Infrastructure Engineer III.
  • Develop and implement service level agreements and key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to align end-user support initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance end-user productivity.
  • Provide guidance in the design and execution of security strategies.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to align security initiatives with business goals.
  • Lead end-point security incident response and investigation efforts.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic investments.
  • Develop and implement strategies for optimizing and scaling infrastructure.
  • Lead the resolution of complex incidents and problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Define and enforce infrastructure standards and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for IT Operations processes and workflows.
  • Represent the organization in Industry Forums and conferences.
Education & Credentials IT Infrastructure Engineer III
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or related field and 4+ years of related experience or
  • Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or related field and 2+ years of related experience or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
IT Infrastructure Engineer IV
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or related field and 6+ years of related experience or
  • Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or related field and 4+ years of related experience or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
