About the Role
DP World is a growing global contract logistics provider with operations in over 40 countries and 95 sites across Automotive and Technology divisions. This remote role focuses on managing Business Process Improvements (BPI) projects and objectives for relevant sites and operations in the Americas region.
This home-based position requires travel to major contract logistics sites in the United States and Canada and does not offer visa sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Provide leadership and support to continuous improvement initiatives at the regional level including work studies, functional layout development, and problem‑solving methodology.
- Assess ergonomic factors and provide solutions to minimize RMI and accommodate workers.
- Utilize company lean standards and tools (line balance, PFEP, value stream mapping, etc.) in everyday assignments.
- Provide input for Process FMEA’s and control plans for existing and potential work systems.
- Establish and implement work standards through time studies and accepted methods.
- Develop plant process layouts and improve existing layouts to maximize efficient use of space, equipment, and labor.
- Facilitate the application of lean principles such as standardized work, 5S, TPM, JIT, and mistake‑proofing.
- Manage engineering functions for assigned projects, including processes, equipment, work standards, and facilities.
- Assist with ongoing development and enhancement of standardized engineering tools and methods.
- Make informed decisions related to equipment purchase while managing project equipment budgets and reporting status to Project Managers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline is required.
- Experience performing industrial engineering functions at the regional level.
- Strong technical skills including AutoCAD, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with a variety of LEAN tools and concepts.
- Ability to train new team members, communicate professionally, lead and manage projects with little supervision, and serve as a subject‑matter expert.
- Ability to handle stressful situations, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to travel 50–90% of the time.
