D, Germany’s home for people with radical new ideas – is driving the shift toward a new computing paradigm of neuromorphic computing. We develop new memristors to enable AI‑systems that compute faster with significantly higher energy‑efficiency. Our goal is to mature this breakthrough technology and scale it toward mass production.
As Active Devices Manager (ADM), you will have technical and operational ownership for active device development based on memristor technology. Developing active devices is at the forefront of advanced development, enabling new applications from AI‑based edge sensing to neuromorphic computing with memristors. Challenging device requirements will be derived from potential use cases. Finally, the goal is to scale this technology into mass production with foundries at a high maturity level.
YOURRESPONSIBILITIES:
Development
- Execute the project plan for device integration in alignment with the overall project plan
- Ensure project milestone execution in time
- Manage and coordinate the active device development team
- Plan and monitor the sub‑project active device development w.r.t. budget, funding, material resources
- Coordinate the project planning with the other team leads
- Report to management and other stakeholders.
- Contribute with your expertise to networking with foundries, universities, research institutes
- Integrate external technical partners or experts in plan for device integration if required for the overall project plan.
- Monitor memristor and CMOS technology development with focus on active device development
- Completed university degree in e.g. semiconductor technology, electrical engineering, physics or material science.
- 2+ years’ work experience as team lead in semiconductor- or related industry
- Solid technical know-how of semiconductor physics for device integration and characterization
- Solid experience in semiconductor device quality and reliability requirements
- Experience in managing small teams
- Creative, solution-oriented and passionate way of work
- Good communication and presentation skills in English and German
- Based in Dresden, with the ability to work in a hybrid model that includes regular remote work
