Description
The Designer supports complex construction projects through the creation, maintenance, and coordination of detailed 3D models. This position requires proficiency in Revit and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals. Required experience includes LOD 350‑400 Electrical work and experience in electrical trades. The role is responsible for ensuring model accuracy, supporting BIM processes, and aiding field operations through remote coordination.

- Model Creation & Maintenance: Develop and maintain accurate 3D models using Revit, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure consistency and coordination across disciplines.
- Clash Detection & Coordination: Use clash detection software such as Navisworks to identify and resolve conflicts between building systems; coordinate closely with MEP teams to ensure integrated, clash‑free designs.
- Remote Field Support: Provide remote coordination and support for field operations, ensuring accurate integration of 3D scans and field data into project models.
- Documentation & Quality Control: Prepare and manage technical documentation, drawings, and schedules required by project teams; ensure the accuracy and quality of all models, adhering to project standards and deadlines.
- Technology & Innovation: Stay current with advancements in BIM and VDC technologies, applying knowledge to improve modeling processes and project outcomes.
- Collaboration Tools: Utilize collaboration tools such as BIM
360 to enhance communication and model accessibility.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in VDC/BIM and construction modeling.
- Minimum of 2 year of experience in Electrical project coordination.
- Proficiency in Revit is required, with the ability to create and manage detailed 3D models.
- Familiarity with Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM
360 is preferred. - Experience in electrical trades.
- Experience in LOD 350-400 Electrical work.
- Proficiency in sleeve drawings, embedded field points, coordinating shop drawings.
- Knowledge of MEP systems and their integration into the modeling process is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documentation.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to resolve design and coordination challenges.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in remote environments.
- Attention to detail and focus on accuracy in model creation and data input.
Work is performed in a remote environment, requiring the ability to sit, stand, and use technology (e.g., computers, video conferencing tools) for extended periods. Must be able to read documents, use a computer, and communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
