Overview

Job Title Full Time – Field Engineer Program, Field Service Engineer – Cincinnati, OH – July 2026

Full Time – Field Service Engineer Program — Cincinnati, OH — Summer 2026. This paid training program prepares associates and graduates to transition to a full territory Field Service Engineer position, including modality training and customer relationship management while installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining equipment at customer sites.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by adhering to entitlements, setting clear expectations, and meeting commitments and arrival times to address and resolve customer needs. Understand the customer’s business and competitive environment; generate service revenue.
  • Act as a member of the regional work team; work to improve team processes and identify training gaps. Seek opportunities to increase capability and capacity (e.g., may be required to become qualified in multiple modalities, learn new tools).
  • Perform all administrative duties within Philips, state, and federal regulatory requirements and time frames including timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, Field Change Orders (FCO), preventative maintenance (PM), installation documents, site and service documentation, and related paperwork. Adhere to training, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Utilize tools, support, resources, and escalation processes within required time frames to resolve customer and system problems timely and effectively. Complete PMs, FCOs, installation and related tasks (diagnose and resolve electronic, network, and mechanical problems).
  • Approximately 70% travel across the specified geography is required. Average daily driving time is 1–4 hours. Occasional overnight stays and travel by air/train may be required.
Qualifications
  • You have recently completed or are an upcoming graduate with an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics or Electronics Technology, Biomedical Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or similar (or BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMET).
  • You’ve acquired internship or co-op experience in a diagnostic imaging (field or hospital-based) service environment or in electromechanical industries, preferred.
  • Preferred experience in diagnostic x-ray, cardiovascular, cath labs, or image-guided therapy equipment, or similar in a regulated industry.
  • Your skills include the ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment, including knowledge and use of all necessary tools and test equipment.
  • You must be willing to relocate within the service zone upon promotion to Field Service Engineer 1 (Grade 35) after successful completion of the first year of training. Eligible for up to a 10K relocation bonus upon promotion reassignment, subject to applicable factors.
  • You must be able to perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation: work in office/home office and/or remote setting, as well as in hospital/healthcare environments; adhere to requirements; work flexible hours (overtime, weekends, on-call rotations); safely work with radiation sources and/or radioactive materials; wear all required PPE.
How we work together

We believe we are better together than apart. Office-based teams: in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are generally outside of main facilities at customer or supplier locations. This is a field role.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range for this position in Cincinnati, OH is $25.00 to $29.00, plus overtime eligibility. This role includes field service training and advancement opportunities. The base pay may vary within posted ranges based on knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, location, and internal equity. Other compensation may include annual incentive bonus, sales commission, or long-term incentives. Philips Total Rewards includes PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement, and more.
