Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Electrical Technologist/AutoCAD Drafter to join our Automation Team in Ida Grove, IA. Applicants must currently reside in the US.

Primary Job Tasks:
  • Design and draft in 2D & 3D using AutoCAD, Autodesk software, and Smart Electrical/Instrumentation Design software.
  • Contribute to improving design workflows, processes, and procedures, including design reviews and checks.
  • Conduct site visits to assess electrical/control system requirements and assist with on-site commissioning.
  • Create Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, instrumentation datasheets, wiring diagrams, power distribution and control system designs, and panel layouts.
  • Design electrical rooms, determine cable sizing, and plan cable routing based on standards.
  • Ensure compliance with certified panel shop requirements.
    • Qualifications

    Required Skills / Education:

    • Electrical technologist qualification from a recognized institution with 3-5 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation design.
    • Knowledge of UL standards, regulations, codes, and standards.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk 2D/3D, and Smart / Bulk Production Design software.
