Regulatory Decision Document Consultant [DOE
0147146] – Full-time position. Pro Sidian is a Management and Operations Consulting Services firm delivering value through tailored solutions in Risk Management | Compliance | Business Process | IT Effectiveness | Engineering | Environmental | Sustainability | Human Capital. We support public and private sector clients, including defense, civilian government, and non-profit organizations. The role is generally located across CONUS with initial focus near Richland, Washington, supporting DOE EM Hanford and related DOE EM activities.

We seek Regulatory Decision Document Consultant candidates with Environmental Management sector experience to support professional services engagements for DOE and other EM sector clients. This is a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) role with potential conversion to a full-time Pro Sidian employee W-2 position.

Job Overview

Provide services as a Regulatory Decision Document Consultant (General Support Services for Hanford Field Office) in the Environmental Management Industry Sector, focusing on Environmental Services Solutions for DOE-EM/HFO and related EM CBC projects. The work generally occurs in the CONUS-Pacific Northwest region, with on-site activities at Hanford (Richland, WA) and some remote support as approved.

Science, engineering, and construction oversight ensure safe designs, efficient operations, and progress toward Hanford cleanup.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Regulatory Decision Document Consultant responsibilities include compliance with RCRA/CERCLA/NEPA, sampling, reporting, regulator coordination, and providing expertise across physical sciences, civil/structural engineering, mechanical/electrical engineering, fire protection engineering, instrumentation and control, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, nuclear engineering, work inspection, field engineering management, and construction compliance.
  • Support operations oversight including commissioning, deactivation and decommissioning, and environmental remediation (soil, groundwater, waste, and nuclear material stabilization and disposition).
  • Location:

    Pacific Northwest Region near Richland, WA. Initial work site: 2440 Stevens Center Place, H520 Richland, WA 99354.
Qualifications and Experience

Desired Qualifications
5–10+ years in environmental compliance/remediation; DOE experience is helpful.

Education / Experience Requirements

BS in Environmental Science or Engineering; HAZWOPER certification; 5–10+ years environmental compliance/remediation; DOE helpful.

This role aligns with Environmental Management Sector and Regulatory Decision Document Consultant needs for Science, Engineering and Design Support, Construction and Operations Oversight disciplines.

Skills

Primarily focused on program and project management support for daily activities, aligned with Science, Engineering and Design Support, Construction and Operations Oversight.

Regulatory interpretation and data QA/QC.

Ancillary Details
  • Produce regulator-ready compliance packages and support regulatory documentation/decision support.
  • Work tasks may vary by up to ±15% of indicated staffing levels and are subject to change.
  • Travel: as coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
  • Security Requirements: DOE/Facility Clearances where required.
  • Place of Performance:
    Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site, Richland, WA; on-site with some remote work as approved.
  • Government-Furnished Resources:
    Office space, computers, and required software provided at HFO; tasks conducted predominantly on-site with some remote support as approved.

Fieldwork with PPE required.
