Leadership and Technical Opportunities – Dam, Levee and Flood Resilience with HDR

HDR, an employee-owned company, is seeking qualified individuals to provide project, geographic and technical leadership in our dam, levee and flood resilience programs. HDR is highly ranked in the United States by ENR for Dams and Reservoirs and in Hydropower. Our globally coordinated, locally delivered program is committed to improving the resiliency, sustainability, and safety of our communities. Our nation’s dams, levees and flood control systems are being upgraded and rebuilt to adapt to a changing climate, provide more efficient renewable power and meet growing water needs.

HDR engineers are leading the way to solve our toughest water infrastructure problems.

Responsibilities
  • Provide project, geographic and technical leadership in HDR’s dam, levee and flood resilience programs.
  • Serve as engineers of record, group managers and technical practice leaders with expertise in complex dam, levee and flood resilience management projects.
  • Develop and apply expertise in potential failure mode analysis (PFMA) as a growing need.
  • Collaborate with HDR locations nationwide and contribute to HDR’s expansion and remote-work options.
Qualifications
  • Civil, structural, geotechnical or hydraulic engineers with experience on dam, levee and flood resilience projects.
  • Interest in leadership roles such as engineers of record, group managers or technical practice leaders.
  • Experience with PFMA and related analyses; familiarity with PFMA terminology and approaches is preferred.
Location and Work Environment
  • HDR has over 200 locations in the United States; willingness to relocate or be contacted about opportunities near you; remote working options available.
  • Primary location:
    United States – Nebraska – Omaha
