Engineering Manager

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead multiple cross‑functional product teams, managing up to 10 engineers including Tech Leads. In this role, you will drive technical excellence, team performance, and delivery outcomes while fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture. You will partner with product managers, designers, and data scientists to make strategic technical decisions, ensuring robust architecture and scalable solutions.

While hands‑on coding is not the primary responsibility, your engineering expertise will guide technical decisions and unblock teams when needed. • Lead and enable multiple cross‑functional engineering teams to deliver high‑quality products efficiently.
• Attract, hire, and grow engineering talent, fostering a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and high performance.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and regular feedback to help engineers reach their full potential and achieve career goals.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to ensure technical decisions align with short‑and long‑term product strategy.
• Oversee architecture and technical quality within teams, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives.
• Partner with other engineering leaders to improve engineering practices, accelerate delivery, and introduce capabilities that unlock new product opportunities.
• Support hands‑on problem‑solving and technical decision‑making when required to unblock teams or ensure project success.

• 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams, including Tech Leads, in high‑growth or scaleup environments.
• Strong technical background with experience in React/Type Script, Python/FastAPI, Postgres, and data pipelines.
• Comfortable working in cloud environments and modern infrastructure (GCP, Cloud Run, Grafana, Kubernetes).
• Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring engineers at all levels.
• Ability to balance hands‑on technical contributions with strategic leadership and team management.
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating in cross‑functional, distributed teams.
• Product‑minded with a track record of driving impact through technology solutions.
• Passion for climate, sustainability, or mission‑driven work is highly desirable.
• Experience with geospatial, mapping, or imagery domains is a plus but not required.
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across GMT/CET/EST time zones.
