Project Controls Engineer Construction Scheduler

Job Description

Promac Consulting is seeking a Project Controls Engineer / Construction Scheduler to support energy infrastructure projects in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The role is primarily onsite
, working closely with construction and project management teams.
Limited remote work flexibility may be available and will be negotiated based on the candidate’s experience and project needs
.

• Develop, maintain, and update CPM construction schedules using Primavera P6
• Prepare baseline schedules
  , periodic updates, and recovery schedules
• Perform critical path, float, and logic analysis
• Prepare schedule narratives and progress reports
• Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, and project management
• Identify schedule risks and mitigation strategies
• Support change management and Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) as required
• Ensure schedule compliance with contract requirements and best practices

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in construction scheduling and project controls
• Proficiency in Primavera P6
• Experience supporting energy, power, heavy civil, or industrial projects
• Ability to work effectively in an onsite construction environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• PMP, PMI-SP, or PSP certification
• Experience with cost-loaded schedules and earned value management
• Experience supporting schedule recovery, TIAs, or claims analysis
