Overview
A personalised technical support engineer for mass market customers and channel partners, providing pre and post sales technical support to a geographical region and its customers, partner FAE and Renesas Sales teams.
Responsibilities- Support customers on popular Catalog Embedded Products (MCU/MPU/Wireless).
- Post sales:
Provide personalised technical support online (email / teams etc) to understand customers' problems and solve them with smart, efficient use of resources (own knowledge and product line resources). - Pre Sales:
Work with sales teams on understanding customers requirements (product and application or use case) to position Renesas products and solutions in an advantageous way. - Support Partner FAE in distribution by enabling them to win with Renesas products and solutions.
- Solve technical issues raised by partner FAE.
- Provide training materials, collaterals, and demos they need to convince customers to use Renesas products or solutions.
- Be the “go to” advocate within Renesas to enable partner FAE to be successful.
- Actively participate in local business reviews with relevant sales teams and partners and escalate or highlight gaps and issues needed to win customers.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- 2 to 6 years of experience.
- C programming know-how and experience in developing software for embedded platforms.
- Experience with typical IDEs and tool chains (e.g., Keil, IAR, Eclipse-based) and debuggers.
- Experience with typical hardware peripherals and drivers.
- Experience with software and/or hardware debugging techniques.
- Understanding or experience with one or more operating systems (e.g., FreeRTOS, Azure RTOS, Zephyr).
- Knowledgeable in high-level embedded C, device drivers, middleware, and utilities.
- Knowledgeable in communication protocols and interface buses like I2C, UART, SPI; clocking and timers; memory utilization.
- Any wireless experience (Bluetooth / WiFi) is an advantage.
- Any experience working with customers or partners is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of embedded software development and sound C skills, ideally from developing application firmware or demos.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Good questioning techniques: ability to guide conversations with open and closed questions.
- Ability to manage multiple issues in parallel in a fast-moving environment.
- Confident in communicating complex issues one-to-one (face-to-face online or via email).
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Interest and passion for embedded systems and MCU-related matters.
- Some travel may be necessary (less than 5%).
