Windchill Developer (PDMLink / MPMLink) – PLM Engineering Systems
Location: Remote (U.S.
-based) with occasional travel
Type: Full-Time or Contract
Experience: 5–7+ years
We are seeking an experienced Windchill Developer to join a collaborative Agile engineering systems team supporting enterprise PLM initiatives within the aerospace/manufacturing domain. This role focuses on enhancing and customizing PTC Windchill environments, building integrations, and supporting ongoing development work for a large-scale customer deployment.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically strong in Windchill customization, and comfortable working in a fast-paced Scrum environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and support custom enhancements within Windchill PDMLink and MPMLink
Build and maintain integrations using Windchill REST Services and SOAP APIs
Participate as a technical contributor on a Scrum development team (sprint planning, demos, code reviews)
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including coordination with third-party vendors when needed
Develop and execute unit/system testing (manual and automated) and document results
Support solutions deployed across multiple configurations from a single codebase
5+ years of Windchill development experience (customization + break/fix support)
Strong knowledge of Windchill integration tools (REST, SOAP)
Experience customizing Windchill using:
Java, JSP, JavaScript, J2EE
XML, XSD, XSLT
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum tools such as Jira and Confluence
Exposure to automated testing and Dev Ops tools:
JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber
Jenkins, Git Hub, Containers
Experience working in Linux/Unix environments
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Windchill PDMLink 11.1+ experience and understanding of Creo Parametric interactions
Knowledge of engineering release/change management processes:
Change Notices/Tasks, WTParts, WT Documents, CAD Docs, EBOMs, effectivity
Advanced Windchill customization experience with:
Workflows, Life cycles, ACLs, OIRs, Listeners, MVC components, Webjects
Oracle database experience
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with moderate supervision
U.S.
-based candidates onlyOccasional travel to customer site in Arizona (quarterly) may be required
