Job Description & How to Apply Below
Overview
Are you a scientist who thrives at the intersection of advanced photonics, nonlinear optics, and cutting‑edge device innovation? This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative, multi‑disciplinary R&D environment shaping the next generation of waveguide‑based technologies.
We are seeking a Senior Scientist who brings deep technical expertise, creativity, and the drive to push boundaries in optical wave guides, electro‑optic modulation, and nonlinear photonics.
You’re likely a great match if you have:
Qualifications- Strong Academic & Research Foundations — Academic pathways (Master’s or PhD) with hands-on research experience are highly relevant
- PhD preferred — especially in photonics, nonlinear optics, electro‑optic devices, or closely related fields
- Experience in the modulator space is a significant advantage
- Includes years spent during graduate research
- Expertise in wave guides, nonlinear optics, EO modulation, periodic poling, RF photonics, or similar domains
- Ability to produce clear, defensible, high‑quality technical documentation
- Experience writing proposals, papers, or reporting on complex experimental results
- Demonstrated success working with multidisciplinary teams (R&D, engineering, manufacturing, leadership)
- Natural ability to translate deep technical insights to both experts and non‑experts
- Independent problem solver with original, creative thinking
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and excited by innovation
- Able to lead and influence technical direction within R&D initiatives
- Developing innovative concepts in nonlinear and electro‑optic photonics
- Leading experimental work on waveguide-based devices
- Acting as a subject-matter expert and mentor within a growing technical team
- Producing high‑quality data and technical outputs to drive decision‑making
- Work on advanced photonics innovations with real commercial and scientific impact
- Join a collaborative R&D culture where your ideas shape next‑generation technology
- Hybrid/onsite flexibility in a research-driven environment
- Opportunity to influence both research strategy and technical execution
If you're passionate about pushing the limits of nonlinear optics and waveguide technology — and want to contribute to a world‑class photonics R&D team — this is the role for you.
