Long International, Inc., a recognized leader in construction claims analysis and dispute resolution, is seeking a Testifying Schedule Delay Expert to join our expert consulting team.
This fully remote, 1099 contractor role involves high-level forensic schedule analysis, technical report writing, and claims analysis on complex domestic and international construction projects. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of construction scheduling, experience with delay and disruption claims, and has a proven track record of expert witness testimony in international arbitration or litigation proceedings.
Key Responsibilities- Perform forensic critical path method (CPM) schedule analysis using Oracle Primavera P6
. - Identify and quantify critical path delays, concurrent delays, disruptions, and acceleration impacts
- Apply industry-standard methodologies such as AACE International Recommended Practice 29R-03 and the Society of Construction Law (SCL) Delay and Disruption Protocol
- Analyze contemporaneous project documentation (change orders, RFIs, daily reports, meeting minutes) to determine root causes and assign responsibility for delays
- Contribute to or prepare expert reports for use in mediation, arbitration, or litigation
- Collaborate with quantum experts, legal counsel, and client teams
- Support disputes governed by international arbitration rules and forums
- Provide expert testimony for international arbitration or litigation proceedings
- 15+ years of experience in schedule delay analysis, project controls, or construction claims consulting
- Bachelor's Degree (or advanced degree) in Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited university
- Demonstrated experience testifying in arbitration or litigation proceedings
. - Proven experience with schedule impacts on large, complex capital projects; experience on oil & gas industry projects is a plus
- Expert knowledge of AACE RP 29R-03 and delay analysis principles
- Proficiency in utilizing Primavera P6, and preferably Acumen Fuse schedule software.
- Professional certifications strongly preferred, but not required:
- Certified Forensic Claims Consultant (CFCC)
- Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP)
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA)
- Demonstrated technical writing skills (you will be asked to provide sample reports you have written)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday (flexible daytime hours based on workload and deadlines)
- Availability: Must be responsive during business hours; occasional nights or weekends based on report deadlines or hearing preparation
- Travel: Varies depending on client needs, hearing locations, or project-specific requirements. International and/or domestic travel.
