Overview

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will coordinate, plan, and oversee complex manufacturing projects. You’ll work with the engineering and production teams for our Cullman AL, Siloam Springs AR, and DuBois, PA facilities. The Manufacturing Engineer will facilitate integrated critical processes, set up production lines, release work instructions, and maintain manufacturing data. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement technical solutions relating to production including processes, tooling, and equipment
  • Serve as subject matter expert for manufacturing engineering across the business, supporting internal or external customer needs
  • Contribute to new production introduction and process validation efforts to increase throughput and decrease costs
  • Act in a self-directed manner to implement improvements, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Oversee capital equipment purchases as needed, ensuring proper qualification and implementation
  • Partner with facilities staff for troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of local equipment as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Engineering, and Operations to drive continuous improvement
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and processes
  • Implement and maintain high-visibility OEE monitoring
  • Improve company scheduling and forecasting
  • Assist in designing and implementing tooling and fixtures to optimize production efficiency
  • Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements
  • Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Engineering
  • 1-2 years related experience and/or training
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with CAD software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team as required
Language Skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and the general public
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Ability to work harmoniously with other employees within his/her department and other departments with which they interface
Work Environment
  • Onsite work schedule is supported with home office in Cullman, AL. Travels to our Siloam Springs AR and DuBois PA facilities is required

  • This position has no direct reports
