Job Title: Staff Scientist/Engineer/Geologist
Location: Remote within Colorado (preferably North Denver) or Wyoming
Employment Type: Temporary, Full Time (W-2), Exempt
Assignment Duration: Approximately 6 months, with the potential to extend based on business needs and performance
Salary: $1,450 to $1,730 per week, depending on experience
Reports To: Senior Geologist or Senior Engineer

Position OverviewAs a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to execute a variety of environmental compliance projects with oversight from senior staff. You'll work closely with our project teams to overcome challenges and meet our clients' needs. Your role will involve supporting projects with report and deliverable preparation, with a focus on Colorado and Wyoming soil and groundwater site investigations.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate laboratory analytical reports, prepare data packets and reports, and work under the guidance of more senior staff to propose and implement next steps to achieve project goals
- Work closely with both field staff and office personnel to prepare reports and project deliverables
- Coordinate and assist with project tasks including groundwater monitoring programs and remediation system operations and maintenance schedules
- Field support up to 25% of the time, typically within 2 hours of the Denver area. Overnight travel, up to 5 days at a time, may be required for CO/WY project areas.
Skills & Qualifications
- Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company’s Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehicle.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including MS Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, etc. and use/operation of standard office equipment.
- Self-motivated and assertive. Comfortable in open discussion with personality ranges from field hands to construction and design groups.
- Ability to be detail-oriented, set priorities, monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information, activities, etc.
- Good time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
Skills & Qualifications
- Oil and Gas experience, specifically related to soil and groundwater contamination and remediation systems
- Experience with Colorado (ECMC) 900 series regulations
- Experience with Wyoming (WDEQ) regulations
- Experience with Storage Tank / LAUST programs
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER or Safe Land 8-hour certification
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field of study
- 3-5 years of relevant industry experience
