The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Architect to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems support team in Melbourne, FL.

Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-site. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
* Maintains smooth operation of LAN/WAN/VPNs.
* Configure, support, maintain and administer the programs Server infrastructure
* Configure, support, maintain and administer the programs Cloud infrastructure
* Plan, design, configure, and install network hardware in support of customer requirements.
* Maintains technical expertise in all areas of Networks, Server, Cloud and PC hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, firewalls, switches, WAN accelerators, etc.
* Proposes solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings.
* Prepares or ensures that appropriate Network, Server and Cloud documentation exists, including operational instructions.
* Provides regular monitoring and infrastructure analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.
* May coordinate third-party maintenance for IT infrastructure equipment.
* May design Network, Server and Cloud or portion of network that include selection of hardware and software packages.
* Operate with considerable independence, and to self-identify/pursue long-term interests.
* Lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
* Work after hours and weekends as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* In this role the candidate will work for the BATTS program (reporting to the Network Communications Manager and will serve as a design authority and consultant for future IT and enterprise network architecture).
* The candidate will be responsible for architecting solutions that meet technical requirements, including present and future capacity requirements. This includes our Network, Server and Cloud infrastructure.
