We are currently looking for an experienced SCADA to support the design, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Electric Transmission EMS/SCADA and Power System Applications in a mission-critical utility environment.
Key Responsibilities- Implement, configure, and customize EMS/SCADA and Power System Applications for electric transmission and distribution systems
- Perform SCADA data modeling, point mapping, and configuration of telemetry, status, and control points
- Configure and troubleshoot communication protocols such as IEC 101/104, DNP3, and ICCP
- Support installation and maintenance of operating systems, patches, and third-party software (Oracle, Net App, etc.)
- Perform database configuration and maintenance using Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL
- Analyze logs, debug files, and system traces to resolve application and system issues
- Implement fixes and patches on live customer systems with minimal downtime
- Support real-time, high-availability, mission-critical environments
- Participate in configuration management using Git Hub and Clear Case
- Develop or maintain scripts (Shell, Python) for automation, validation, and monitoring
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients to resolve technical issues
- Participate in technical reviews, system testing, and documentation
- Provide production support and on-call assistance as required
- 5+ years of experience with EMS/SCADA or Power System Applications
- Hands-on experience with GE Reliance (XA21) or equivalent platforms (Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of Electric SCADA, EMS, DMS, and TMS
- Experience with SCADA data modeling
- Strong experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
- Programming experience with C and/or Java
- Shell scripting experience
- Experience analyzing system logs and debug files
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git Hub, Clear Case)
- Experience working in real-time, mission-critical systems
- Object-Oriented Programming concepts
- System Administration background
- Exposure to test management and automated testing
- Understanding of SCADA security concepts including firewall zoning, TLS/PKI, certificate management, and user access segregation
- Familiarity with NERC CIP compliance is a plus
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to manage client discussions and technical reviews
- Good documentation and presentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering
- Masters in electrical engineering with specialization in Power System Applications preferred
- Preferred: 6–8 years
- Open to candidates with 2–5 years or strong intern-level experience with relevant skill sets
