What You Will Do- Provide engineering support to field personnel to ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of region facilities.
- Participate in Region safety program and station and construction site audits.
- Perform assigned duties during emergency response activities. I.C.S. trained and listed on IMT to fill RESL and SITL roles for the region.
- Manage small operating and capital projects, developing and implementing Special Costs and Capital AFEs from the budget proposal stage through construction and closeout.
- Assist Pipeline Maintenance Services, Maintenance, and Operations on technical and compliance issues.
- Provide support to US LP and MP Projects in developing and implementing projects affecting Operations.
- Collaborate with technical standards group to ensure engineering standards, equipment specifications, and engineering construction specifications meet U.S. regulatory requirements and reflect U.S. practices.
- Establish working relationships with a cross section of stakeholders within the company, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and services providers.
- Work with company subject matter experts to assist with the engineering needs of the region as well as continuously improve the company's SME knowledgebase and standards.
You have the following education and experience:
Required- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college.
- High level of personal initiative with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Minimum 7 years general pipeline or utility engineering or significant equivalent experience.
- Ability to solve technical problems as they arise and make decisions on how a problem's solution will impact the immediate problem and the system.
- Be able to regularly shift between planned and unplanned activities, while remaining effective despite the resulting disruptive effects.
- Proven capability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments and meet established deadlines while managing stakeholder expectations.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form. This includes the ability to effectively interact with peers, internal stakeholders and equipment vendors. Strong written communications abilities, including good spelling and grammar are essential for this position.
- Office environment with approximately 10-25% overnight travel required.
- Occasional work-generated disruptions to off-the-job personal activities. This includes extended working hours during commissioning activities or handling after-hours calls from field staff requesting technical assistance - sometimes on weekends or during night hours. (Approximately 1 to 4 times per month.)

Physical Requirements
Include but are not limited to: grasping, kneeling, light—moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, reads fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
