Work LocationPosition is 100% onsite with some flexibility for remote work as needed.
DescriptionDevelops procedures, methods and tools for test, verification and certification of products. Validates testing activities and results of manufacturing equipment and/or hardware. Participates in design verification of new equipment or hardware. Participates in preparing product compliance documentation. Develops procedures and tools for testing, calibration and verification of the equipment. Ensures the equipment is properly tested, calibrated and certified according to the corresponding procedures.
Ensures accurate document, record and archive measurement data pertaining to product. Responsible for testing parameters and process control performance.
- Designs and performs manual and automated tests of radio frequency (RF) digital communications systems and their components.
- Troubleshoots any problems that arise during testing.
- Uses RF lab equipment (signal generators, signal analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes, etc.) to aid testing and debugging.
- Knowledgeable in Ettus USRP architecture and related software (UHD, RFNoC, Python or C/C++), as well as continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and pipelines is very helpful.
- Develops RF and digital processing blocks on Ettus USRP radios (X310s and X410s) to aid RF systems and testing.
- Develops CI/CD tools (Git Lab CI and Artifactory) and pipelines for automated testing. Participates in design tasks including requirements analysis and interface definition.
- Analyzes digital signals and system performance in MATLAB. Optimizes software when necessary. Ensures performance requirements can reliably be met.
- Testbed design and integration with COTS and/or prototype components
- Design and implement RF communications and digital processing blocks on USRPs
- Define and execute both manual and automated system tests. Tests will be both over-the-wire and over-the-air
- Perform data analysis and organize RF plus network performance data
- Report internally via verbal and written methods
- Experience testing RF systems: communications radios, antennas, COTS components, networking, etc.
- Experience working on a Linux platform
- Experience with programming and scripting languages: MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and Bash
- Experience with Ettus USRPs or similar software defined radios
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM field
- Microsoft Office
- Understanding of RF communication systems and digital signal processing
- Experience with Ettus X310s or X410s and related GNU and UHD software
- Experience programming Ettus USRP’s Xilinx FPGAs
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools:
Git Lab CI, Artifactory, etc. - Experience with version control software such as Git
- Experience using RF lab test equipment: signal generators, signal analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes, etc.
