We are seeking a Principal Product Engineer to drive the technical success, roadmap definition, and field validation of Questa Sim, Siemens EDA’s flagship digital simulation and debug platform. This role blends deep hands‑on verification expertise with strong customer engagement, feature prototyping, and close collaboration with R&D to shape next‑generation simulation technologies.

You will act as a technical bridge between customers, product management, and engineering—translating real‑world verification challenges into concrete product requirements, validated solutions, and scalable workflows.

• Serve as a technical authority for Questa Sim across RTL and gate-level verification flows.
• Engage directly with semiconductor customers (engineers, architects, and managers) to understand verification challenges and recommend optimized simulation/debug methodologies.
• Deliver high-impact technical presentations, demos, training sessions, and workshops to drive adoption and best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex simulation, performance, memory, and debug issues in System Verilog/UVM environments.

• Gather customer requirements and translate them into use models, feature definitions, and roadmap inputs.
• Partner with Product Management and R&D to refine product direction, prioritize features, and align engineering investments with market needs.
• Participate in market research, competitive analysis, and positioning material creation.

• Prototype, evaluate, and validate new Questa Sim features in real customer verification flows.
• Develop QA-style regression testcases from user scenarios to validate functionality, performance, and stability.
• Reproduce customer-reported issues, file detailed defect and enhancement reports, and verify fixes across releases.
• Drive early‑access programs and beta deployments with strategic customers.

• Act as a technical liaison between Field Application Engineers, R&D, QA, and Product Marketing.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior Product Engineers and Application Engineers.
• Support internal enablement through documentation, white papers, application notes, and internal training.

• 15+ years of experience in ASIC/SoC design or verification.
• Strong hands‑on experience with System Verilog, UVM, SVA, and verification testbench architecture.
• Deep familiarity with digital simulators such as Questa Sim, Synopsys VCS, or Cadence Xcelium.
• Solid understanding of RTL and gate-level simulation workflows, compile/elaborate/run/debug cycles.
• Experience with power‑aware simulation (UPF) and low‑power verification is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in scripting (Tcl, Python, or Perl) for automation and regression flows.
• Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and executive audiences.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a customer‑first orientation.
• Ability to translate technical detail into product strategy and roadmap input.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and influence without authority.

• Experience working in a Product Engineering or Application Engineering role within EDA.
• Exposure to functional safety (ISO 26262), automotive, or aerospace verification flows.
• Experience building verification IP, reference flows, or internal test frameworks.
• Prior involvement in competitive displacement or proof‑of‑concept engagements.
