Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Center Design Manager to join our growing team. You will be instrumental in communicating trends, analyzing stakeholder feedback and helping to communicate proper work packaging processes and procedures based on new design iterations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide constructability support and design review management for new data center designs.
  • Coordinate with client partner teams on initiatives such as owner negotiated, contractor procured preconstruction strategies and prefabrication solutions as designs require.
  • Collaborate with project teams (contractors) during the pre-construction and construction phases to establish parameters for project-specific prefabrication strategies. Develop execution plans for successful project delivery.
  • Integrate the prefabrication strategy into the project design through guidance and collaboration with the project design teams, trade partners and suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain a lessons learned catalog for transfer of knowledge from project to project. Define and record metrics to compare project strategy performance across the program.
  • Evaluate project and product design concepts for compliance with industry codes and standards, constructability, and supply chain alignment. Overcome critical challenges while maintaining adherence to project timelines, quality, and cost.
  • Establish and maintain a communication plan with project teams, focused on contractors and suppliers for strategy development and execution.
  • Attend recurring design, constructability, estimating, work packaging, and procurement meetings with project design teams, trade partners, and suppliers.
  • Maintain program deliverable trackers across all design and improvement efforts.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to review design drawings to ensure alignment with program specifications.
  • Collaborate with trade partner teams and provide design direction to facilitate localized execution and reduce common RFIs.
  • Assist with development of estimating cost templates and ad-hoc requests to review MEP bid and contract submissions for scope accuracy and oneWBS coding compliance.
  • Assist with development of work package templates for new designs.
  • Establish and maintain folder structure for sharing program documentation with project design teams, trade partners and suppliers.
Required qualifications

  • Familiarity with LEED or other green building standards
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, ACC/BIM, Plan Grid)
