The Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the design, development, application, and support of actuation and control products for off-highway and automotive applications. This role works cross-functionally with customers, manufacturing, quality, and commercial teams to deliver innovative, reliable solutions that integrate mechanical, hydraulic, electronic, and control systems.
Qualifications:- Design and develop new actuation products for off-highway and automotive applications.
- Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes related to electronic controls, mechanical components, and hydraulic systems.
- Communicate effectively with OEM customers and internal teams including manufacturing, quality, engineering, administrative, and commercial personnel.
- Utilize CAD tools to create, analyze, and validate mechanical designs, drawings, hydraulic schematics, and electronic packaging concepts.
- Use data acquisition equipment to collect, analyze, and interpret performance data in laboratory and field settings.
- Support customer quality requirements, including warranty analysis and acting as a technical liaison with manufacturing.
- Understand and apply electronic controls used on mobile equipment.
- Work hands-on with mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic control systems in both laboratory and field environments.
- Learn, tune, and apply control software in coordination with mechanical and hydraulic system performance.
- Modify and improve electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on mobile machines using standard hand tools.
- Think entrepreneurially to identify new product opportunities and provide innovative customer solutions.
Apply and support existing products within the off-highway hydraulics and transmission markets.
JobKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Experience in off-highway hydraulics, mobile equipment, or automotive actuation systems preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic control systems.
- Familiarity with electronic mobile vehicle controls is a strong plus.
- Experience working with CAD software for mechanical design and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory testing, field testing, and data acquisition systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Goal-oriented, self-disciplined, and committed to delivering timely and accurate results.
- Comfortable working both at a desk and hands-on with equipment and machinery.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines and cultures.
- Foreign travel and communication with multiple cultures is required
- Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
- No remote work, this is an on-site position
