This full-time hybrid role as a BIM Modeler at Metro CD Engineering requires working primarily from the Columbus, OH office, with some flexibility for remote work. The BIM Modeler will create, analyze, and manage Building Information Models to support various engineering and design projects. Responsibilities include collaboration with architects and engineers, creating detailed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) system models, and developing accurate construction documentation.
The role also involves ensuring compliance with project specifications and coordinating with team members to resolve design challenges.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM), including creating, editing, and maintaining models.
- Knowledge of Architectural and Construction Drawings, with the ability to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Specialized understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and their integration within models.
- Ability to collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to develop effective modeling and construction solutions.
- Proficiency in CAD software and model coordination tools is a strong advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of sustainable or LEED design principles is a plus.
