Description
SHINE Technologies is seeking a part-time CAD Designer/Drafter to assist on the design of plant systems including process systems (piping, pressure vessels, pumps, valves, etc.), HVAC, Fire Protection, civil/structural systems, cooling systems, electrical distribution, architectural features, etc.
Hybrid or remote work arrangement will be considered. While our headquarters is located in Janesville, Wisconsin, we welcome applicants from across the U.S. who can effectively collaborate in a virtual environment. Candidates may be asked to travel occasionally for team meetings or onsite engagements, depending on business needs.
The base salary range for this position is $26.45 - $29.90 per hour plus a comprehensive benefit package when worked 20+ hours a week. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesSpecific duties and responsibilities of the CAD Designer/Drafter include, but are not limited to:
- CAD Designer/Drafter will use Auto Cad Plant 3D to create initial piping isometric drawings and update piping isometric drawings as necessary.
- CAD Designer/Drafter will use AutoCAD Plant 3D to modify Process Flow Diagram’s (PFD), Piping & Instrumentation Diagram’s (P&) and Plant and System piping.
- Will assist in maintaining the standard library of blocks and part families to be used in Auto Cad Plant 3D and Revit.
- Will assist in updating mechanical drawings using AutoCAD Plant 3D and/or Revit.
- May assist with light 3D modeling to support other Designers.
- High School diploma and be enrolled in or have credits toward a Design or Engineering degree.
- Recent experience in a Design or Engineering capacity will be considered
- The CAD Designer/Drafter will be familiar with Drafting and Design Standards.
- The CAD Designer/Drafter will be detail oriented with the ability to provide design recommendations to other designers and engineers.
- Candidates with AutoCAD and/or Revit experience are highly preferred.
Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls. Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.
